In my humble opinion, AMC has a television masterpiece in its hands with The Killing, their entry into the murder mystery genre.
This show, available in Canada on AMC, follows the murder investigation of Rosie Larsen, the daughter of Mitch and Stanley Larsen, in Seattle, Washington.
The show not only focuses in on the grisly and grim murder investigation but also on the grief suffered by the Larsen family.
The Killing, based on a Danish series Forbrydelsen, stays true to the original, focused on the interconnected worlds of parents, police and politics.
The show is set over thirteen days, with each episode representing the next day in the investigation. The show delves into the flaws and secrets in each of the characters.
Sarah Linden and Joel Kinneman are the detectives...

Mitch and Stanley Larsen are the grieving parents...

Darren Richmond is a politician with secrets...
