September 10th is the first of eight days of fun as the Essa Salmon Festival and Riverbank Derby kicks off in Angus, Ontario.

Saturday September 10th will start with a parade on Mill St @ 10: a.m. and will feature lumberjack competition, Classic Car Show, Skateboard Competition, live music, food and exhibitors/vendors capping off with live Pro wrestling @ 7:30 p.m.

Monday September 12th hosts a "Women's Wisdom & Wellness Night" about Health, Beauty, Image and Going Green.  Limited tickets for $10 available (call 705.424.4213 or e-mail admin@wingsandheroes.com )

Tuesday September 13th - "SHOP ANGUS - BUY LOCAL"

Wednesday September 14th - "Seafood Night" at DJ's Pizza and Cafe (located in the Rainbow Plaza - Mill St & Massey St 705.424.4040)

Thursday September 15th - Utopia Cafe Festival Edition - live musicians hosted by local singer/songwriters Jeff Williams and Jill Jambor)

Friday September 16th - "So You Think You've Got Talent" Angus Legion - all local amateur entertainers are invited

Sunday September 18th - Fishing Derby on the banks of the Nottawasaga River.  Nottawasaga Steelheaders presents the annual Rubber Duck Race for people of all ages at the Nottawasaga Fishing Park (County Rd 90 west of the bridge).  Awards and closing ceremonies in the park at 3:00 p.m.
